National Polling and Market Research firm seeks Vice President, Strategy.

Vice President, Strategy
We are currently seeking a Vice President, Strategy. This individual has a high-level interest and understanding of public opinion research and market research, and a passion for helping organizations make data-driven strategic decisions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
This full-time salaried position is open to all applicants in the U.S. but a strong preference will be given to applicants based in California, for a hybrid position in the Bay Area (1-2 days a week in our downtown Oakland office) or a remote position elsewhere in California. Some amount of travel would be expected of the successful applicant for client service, business development and internal company meetings.
This position requires an experienced research professional with an interest in a client facing role and proactive business development relationship building. EMC Research offers competitive salaries and generous benefits and a highly collaborative, casual and fun work environment. Salary dependent on experience in the market research and public opinion industry and geographic location. Salary range is $125,000 to $150,000 before bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years related experience in electoral polling, market research, or public opinion research
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for developing client relationships and presenting research findings
-Knowledge of and experience working in California politics or local government is a plus
-Bilingual (Spanish speaking) a plus, but not mandatory
-Deadline driven and able to produce high-quality work within short timelines
-Effectively manages own time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently
-Critical thinker and problem solver

- Designing research projects to meet client needs, managing internal teams to execute research, and providing high level analysis of research results
- Providing strategic recommendations to clients, guiding client decision making, and presenting research results in public and private forums
